Food Day Canada was founded by the late Elora resident and culinary activist, Anita Stewart, as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our local farmers and fishers, chefs and home cooks.
Celebrate with us by taking home a locally curated Dinner Box, complete with all of the farm-fresh and locally sourced ingredients needed to create a delicious meal!

For just $30, each box will contain enough seasonal produce, local meats and fresh baking (all sourced from farm & food vendors in Aberfoyle) to prepare a meal with two generous portions:
Two London Broils. Perfectly seasoned ground pork wrapped in steak, waiting to hit your BBQ!

Freshly picked leafy greens and seasonal vegetables for a crisp & delicious salad with a full-size gourmet vinaigrette.

Locally grown potatoes accompanied by a dilly seasoning blend made from only fresh ingredients for maximum flavour and no added salt. Keep your seasoning blend for another three uses and explore over 50 different recipe ideas included with your kit!

Sweet corn (on the cob) direct from the farm.

An assorted treat box with six pieces of locally baked, gluten-free squares & sweets.
​All boxes can be ordered online through the form below.
Each box (two portions) is priced at $30 and will contain farm-fresh locally sourced foods valued at over $40 (that's a 25% savings off of regular retail price!).
Once your order is received, you will receive an invoice via email with payment details. At this time, payment can only be processed via e-transfer. We appreciate your prompt payment (within 48 hours of receipt of invoice) as we work on a pre-order basis to curate these dinner boxes at a special promotional price, and thank you for your understanding as we try to keep transactional costs low for the this community-run initiative. Your order will be confirmed once payment is received, and a receipt will be issued via email!
Dinner Boxes will be available for pickup at the market on Saturday July 30 between 10:00a.m. and 12:00p.m.
Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate special requests or substitutions. We hope you can enjoy all of the products included in your box, but if you encounter a product you are not able to consume, please consider sharing with a friend, neighbour or loved one, or donating to an emergency food supplier, such as the Guelph Food Bank.
